(AFNS) &#8212; \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Airmen from the 58th Airlift Squadron at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altus.af.mil\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Altus Air Force Base<\/strong><\/a>, teamed up with Soldiers from the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tmd.texas.gov\/army-guard\" target=\"_blank\">Texas Army National Guard<\/a><\/strong> for a Joint Airborne Air Transportability Training, or JA\/ATT, at <a href=\"https:\/\/home.army.mil\/cavazos\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Fort Cavazos<\/strong><\/a>, Texas, June 2.<\/p>\n<p>The Airmen flew two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.af.mil\/About-Us\/Fact-Sheets\/Display\/Article\/1529726\/c-17-globemaster-iii\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>C-17 Globemaster III<\/strong><\/a>s to Fort Cavazos to transport 100 Soldiers to a drop zone to perform a static-line drop of equipment and personnel, as well as to provide hands-on training for pilots and loadmasters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we practice our readiness to be able to transport personnel to drop zones during a war time scenario, the Soldiers are training their personnel on performing drops,\u201d said Capt. Kameron Sarantomercado, 58th AS instructor pilot. \u201cIn real-life scenarios, we\u2019re going to be working with other branches. It\u2019s important that we keep our relationships with other branches current and active so we can work together seamlessly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u202f<br \/>Army Staff Sgt. Logan Yenne, <a href=\"https:\/\/tmd.texas.gov\/1st-battalion-airborne-143rd-infantry-regiment-1\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>1st Battalion (Airborne) 143rd Infantry Regiment<\/strong><\/a> training noncommissioned officer\u00a0in charge, emphasized the importance of joint force integrations and how it better prepares the force to compete with the pacing threats of the modern geopolitical landscape.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe typically jump once or twice per quarter, but it is a perishable skill, and it\u2019s important that we gain as much experience as possible,\u201d he said. \u201cWithout [the Air Force] we can\u2019t do what we do and working together strengthens our capabilities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tech. Sgt.
