(AFNS) &#8212; \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Department of the Air Force Chief <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.modsim.af.mil\/\" target=\"_blank\">Model and Simulation<\/a><\/strong> Officer <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.modsim.af.mil\/About-Us\/The-Team\/\" target=\"_blank\">Richard Tempalski<\/a><\/strong> partnered with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.spaceforce.mil\/\" target=\"_blank\">Space Force<\/a><\/strong> Chief Technology and Innovation Officer <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.spaceforce.mil\/SFB\/Display\/Article\/2794420\/dr-lisa-a-costa\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Lisa Costa<\/a><\/strong> to lead the second annual Modeling and Simulation Summit at the Clyde Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico, May 9-11.<\/p>\n<p>The M&amp;S Summit put into action guidance laid out in DAF strategy on implementing best practices for how models and simulations are effectively acquired, developed, managed and used by Department of Defense components. In alignment with the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/media.defense.gov\/2022\/Oct\/27\/2003103845\/-1\/-1\/1\/2022-NATIONAL-DEFENSE-STRATEGY-NPR-MDR.PDF\" target=\"_blank\">National Defense Strategy<\/a><\/strong>, the event brought together subject matter experts from across the department\u2019s M&amp;S community. Sessions at the conference focused on the theme, \u201cFusing Air and Space into Multidomain Operations: The Fight is On.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The three-day summit focused on the following topics:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Transformational M&amp;S Enablers<br \/>\u2022 M&amp;S Enabling Resilient Space Capabilities<br \/>\u2022 M&amp;S Integrating Space Capabilities into Multi-Domain Operations<\/p>\n<p>The event attracted close to 600 participants from the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.defense.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">Department of Defense<\/a><\/strong>, industry, academia and international partners, including more than 250 participants from the DoD.
