{"id":177245,"date":"2024-05-16T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-05-16T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/adn.monetizemail.com\/?p=177245"},"modified":"2024-05-16T16:25:29","modified_gmt":"2024-05-16T16:25:29","slug":"daf-e-learning-adds-microsoft-teams-app","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/adn.monetizemail.com\/?p=177245","title":{"rendered":"DAF e-Learning adds Microsoft Teams app"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><\/div>\n<p><strong class=\"article-detail-dateline\">JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas (AFNS) &#8212; \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Access to industry-curated training and digital content is now available to all Airmen and Guardians with the launch of the DAF e-Learning Percipio Microsoft Teams application, Air Education and Training Command officials announced May 15.<br \/><!--image-->\n    <\/p>\n<p><!--media-inline--><\/p>\n<p>The effort is part of the command&#8217;s deliberate development and installation of IT systems that support learning, advanced learning applications and data analytics so Airmen can obtain and exchange information.<\/p>\n<p>Airmen and Guardians are now in the driver\u2019s seat as they can harness the full-suite of DAFeL capabilities for convenient, team-based, collaborative learning experiences in the normal flow of work,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.af.mil\/About-Us\/Biographies\/Display\/Article\/3133614\/randy-p-oakland\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Brig. Gen. Randy Oakland<\/strong><\/a>, AETC director of Operations and Communications. \u201cBy using DAFeL for Teams, personnel can learn in the format, schedule and structure that\u2019s right for them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After finding the skills they need using the chatbot, learners can launch videos, books, audiobooks, hands-on practice labs \u2014 whatever their job calls for at that moment \u2014 all without ever leaving Microsoft Teams.<\/p>\n<p>The application also lets learners instantly share helpful learning content with their peers, colleagues and teammates in impromptu chats, group meetings, brainstorming sessions and more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy enabling learning in the flow of working together, managers who lead teams can create virtual learning groups, recommend content and assign learning paths \u2014 and then open the floor to discussion to help personnel absorb what they have learned,\u201d said Floyd McKinney, AETC chief of learning services. \u201cIntegrating DAF and industry-curated training provides a wider range of training opportunities to support mission readiness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Learning can be pinned inside project teams or cohort sites (in a learning tab) so that all the members of that team can see which learning is required or recommended.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese features merge work and learning into their Teams page,\u201d McKinney said. \u201cAt each step along the way, learners can ask questions, share ideas, work together and apply their growing knowledge toward urgent real-time needs, the organization\u2019s most prominent goals and whatever challenges the future may bring.<\/p>\n<p>By enabling their workforce to learn in the continuously evolving flow of work, organizations can increase adoption and encourage engagement,\u201d McKinney said.<\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aetc.af.mil\/Portals\/88\/Documents\/Force%20Development\/DAFeL%20for%20Teams%20User%20Guide%20v2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a> to view the DAF e-Learning User Guide.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ast-split ntext breakout \">\n<div class=\"item\">\n<div class=\"body\">\n<section class=\"ast-brandedhr\">\n<div class=\"ast-brandedhr-line\">\n<p>                <title>U.S. Air Force Logo<\/title><\/p><\/div>\n<\/section><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas (AFNS) &#8212; \u00a0 Access to industry-curated training and digital content is now available to all Airmen and Guardians with the launch of the DAF e-Learning Percipio Microsoft Teams application, Air Education and Training Command officials announced May 15.
