{"id":17873,"date":"2023-07-06T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-07-06T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/adn.monetizemail.com\/?p=17873"},"modified":"2023-07-07T06:42:42","modified_gmt":"2023-07-07T06:42:42","slug":"usaf-b-52-deployment-concludes-in-indonesia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/adn.monetizemail.com\/?p=17873","title":{"rendered":"USAF B-52 deployment concludes in Indonesia"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><\/div>\n<p><strong class=\"article-detail-dateline\">MEDAN, Indonesia (AFNS) &#8212; \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>More than 60 U.S. Air Force Airmen and two U.S. Air Force B-52H Stratofortress assigned to the 5th Bomb Wing from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.minot.af.mil\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Minot Air Force Base<\/strong><\/a>, North Dakota, recently completed a bilateral interoperability exercise in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>The exercise, which lasted about a week and was supported by various <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pacaf.af.mil\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>U.S. Pacific Air Forces<\/strong><\/a> units, marked the first time U.S. Air Force B-52s landed on and operated from Indonesian soil.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s exciting to be a part of this historical milestone,\u201d said U.S. Air Force Capt. Justin Kinker, 23rd Bomb Squadron weapons officer and exercise team lead. \u201cEveryone on our team is very proud to have had a hand in this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The exercise offered an opportunity to advance the ability of U.S. and Indonesian air forces to work together; allowed for the exchange of tactics, techniques and procedures specific to each nation\u2019s aircraft; and promoted regional stability through cooperation, enhancing mutual understanding and an already strong partnership.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEnhancing interoperability between U.S. and Indonesian air forces contributes to the long-term advancement of our nations\u2019 shared interests,\u201d Kinker explained. \u201cThis was a great opportunity for us to train alongside our partners to bolster our collective ability to support a free and open Indo-Pacific.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The B-52s and 5th BW Airmen who participated in the exercise have left Indonesia and are currently supporting a Bomber Task Force deployment at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.andersen.af.mil\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Andersen Air Force Base<\/strong><\/a>, Guam.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ast-split ntext breakout \">\n<div class=\"item\">\n<div class=\"body\">\n<section class=\"ast-brandedhr\">\n<div class=\"ast-brandedhr-line\">\n<p>                <title>U.S. Air Force Logo<\/title><\/p><\/div>\n<\/section><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MEDAN, Indonesia (AFNS) &#8212; \u00a0 More than 60 U.S. Air Force Airmen and two U.S. Air Force B-52H Stratofortress assigned to the 5th Bomb Wing from Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, recently completed a bilateral interoperability exercise in Indonesia.
