{"id":18418,"date":"2023-07-11T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-07-11T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/adn.monetizemail.com\/?p=18418"},"modified":"2023-07-12T06:41:41","modified_gmt":"2023-07-12T06:41:41","slug":"department-of-the-air-force-rolls-out-climate-campaign-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/adn.monetizemail.com\/?p=18418","title":{"rendered":"Department of the Air Force rolls out Climate Campaign Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><\/div>\n<p><strong class=\"article-detail-dateline\">WASHINGTON (AFNS) &#8212; \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Department of the Air Force released its <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.af.mil\/Portals\/1\/documents\/2023SAF\/DAF_Climate_Campaign_Plan.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><span><span>Climate Campaign Pla<\/span><span>n<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/strong><span> July <\/span>11.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!--media-inline--><\/p>\n<p><span>The Department of the Air Force <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.safie.hq.af.mil\/Portals\/78\/documents\/Climate\/DAF%20Climate%20Action%20Plan.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><span><span>Climate Action Plan<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/strong>,<span>\u00a0which<\/span> was published in October 2022, defines how it will preserve operational capability, increase resiliency, and do its part to help mitigate future climate impacts. The plan lays out an enterprise-wide approach to why it is important to ensure policies, technology innovation and evolving operations remain relevant in a changing climate.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span>The Climate Campaign Plan is the implementation portion of the Climate Action Plan and breaks down the strategy through specific and measurable objectives and key results. This plan details the actions, offices of primary responsibility, external partners and timelines to achieve the key results.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span>DAF\u2019s overall goal is to be resilient to the effects of climate change and preserve a combat-credible force <\/span>that is increasingly impacted by climate change.
