But although it was a challenging course, she was glad she enrolled because she met people through the class she never would have otherwise even though she has worked on Camp Zama for more than 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe bonded throughout this three-week course,\u201d Kunii said of her CES classmates. \u201cI feel I can talk to them anytime about anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CES was a very rewarding course for her, Kunii said, and one of the most beneficial things she learned was the concept of \u201cshared understanding,\u201d saying she considered it a best practice and one that will improve her organization.<\/p>\n<div class=\"editor-image single\">\n<figure class=\"photo cur-photo\">\n          <span class=\"centered-image\"><br \/>\n            <span class=\"img-container\"><br \/>\n              <a class=\"rich-text-img-link\" href=\"https:\/\/api.army.mil\/e2\/c\/images\/2024\/06\/07\/63032eab\/original.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n                <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Leader development course provides Camp Zama employees transformative learning experience\" src=\"https:\/\/adn.monetizemail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/size0-full-115.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n              <\/a><br \/>\n                          <\/span><br \/>\n          <\/span><figcaption>\n                        <span class=\"image-caption\"><br \/>\n              <span class=\"caption-text\"><br \/>\n                Trainees and facilitators take a group photo after completing the three-week Civilian Education System intermediate course give a presentation May 17 in the Visual Information Division classroom on Camp Zama, Japan.<br \/>\n                <span class=\"caption-author\"> (Photo Credit: Noriko Kudo)<\/span><br \/>\n              <\/span><br \/>\n              <a href=\"https:\/\/api.army.mil\/e2\/c\/images\/2024\/06\/07\/63032eab\/original.jpg\" title=\"View original\" target=\"_blank\">VIEW ORIGINAL<\/a><br \/>\n            <\/span><br \/>\n          <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Brittany Franklin, a division chief assigned to Army Community Service took the training because she thought it would provide an unparalleled opportunity to enhance her leadership skills in a dynamic environment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe training provided a comprehensive exploration of leadership principles, critical thinking strategies and professional development techniques,\u201d Franklin said. \u201cIt also equipped me with invaluable skills and knowledge that I am eager to apply in both my current role and future endeavors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Attending CES at her home station via the mobile education option also meant Franklin will be able to immediately apply what she learned to her current role, ensuring a seamless integration of the new concepts she learned.
