(AFNS) &#8212; \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span>The panel discussion provided Healy with an opportunity to highlight the two tasking orders he has issued during his 13-month tenure as commander, each of which are framed by his Ready Now, Transforming for the Future directives.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>\u201cWe continue to get after a ready force,\u201d Healy told the audience of hundreds of Airmen and Defense Department civilians. \u201cIn building a warrior mindset, we\u2019re working with agile combat employment. We\u2019re wanting our <\/span>Airmen to know how they fit into a team that is ultimately providing lethal effects.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>The general\u2019s task orders, the most recent issued in August, help to clarify Healy\u2019s strategic priorities by ensuring all Reserve Citizen Airmen know what\u2019s expected of them.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>\u201cThe task orders speak to accountability,\u201d he said. \u201cIt includes Airmen being responsible for their mental stability, physical fitness and medical readiness.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>He also highlighted the value of the Total Force and the Reserve\u2019s depth, emphasizing that the Reserve needs experienced Airmen who have already served on active <\/span>duty.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>\u201cWe\u2019re most effective when our affiliations come from the active-<\/span>duty component,\u201d he said. \u201cThe people with prior experience offer us an opportunity to build preparedness and readiness. We want to be truly integrating into Air Force units. This is about a total Force integration across all disciplines.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>As the panel\u2019s time wound down, each of the generals wrapped up with some parting advice.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>\u201cGo to the basics. Know your job,\u201d Healy said. \u201cBe the best at your AFSC. Know where you fit into the fight.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>He closed out his advice to Airmen with a paraphrase from New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. \u201cDo your damn job!\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>Immediately following the panel, large screens projected an Air Force Reserve mission video entitled \u201cWe\u2019re Unstoppable!\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>With booming rock music and action footage of Reservists in various mission sets, the video brought robust applause from the convention audience.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>Healy then led the unveiling of a commissioned painting honoring the Reserve\u2019s 75<\/span><span><span>th<\/span><\/span><span> anniversary with the artists who created it: Warren Neary, AFRC History Office, and retired Senior Master Sgt. Darby Perrin. The third artist, 1<\/span><span><span>st<\/span><\/span><span> Lt. Kat Justen, 459<\/span><span><span>th<\/span><\/span><span> Air Refueling Wing public affairs officer, was unable to attend the unveiling.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>The Airmen honored in the painting were assigned to the 349<\/span><span><span>th<\/span><\/span><span> Air Mobility Wing, <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.travis.af.mil\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span><span>Travis Air Force Base<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/strong><span>, California; the 315<\/span><span><span>th<\/span><\/span><span> Airlift Wing, <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jbcharleston.jb.mil\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span><span>Joint Base Charleston<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/strong><span>, South Carolina; and the 3<\/span><span><span>rd<\/span><\/span><span> Wing at <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jber.jb.mil\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span><span>Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/strong><span>, Alaska. Convention organizers acknowledged several military members from these units depicted in the painting who were also in the audience.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>The convention also honored the Air Force\u2019s 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year on Sept. 11, one of whom is Senior Airman Jacob <\/span>Tawasha, assigned to the 349<span><span>th<\/span><\/span><span> Security Forces Squadron at Travis. Healy and AFRC Command Chief Israel <\/span>Nu\u00f1ez met with Tawasha and attended the 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year heritage dinner.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>A media roundtable kicked off the morning of Sept. 12 for Healy and <\/span>Nu\u00f1ez. The two leaders shared their priorities for the command with five regional and national journalists. The afternoon included a think tank roundtable discussion with Brig. Gen.
