{"id":300480,"date":"2024-10-15T13:19:04","date_gmt":"2024-10-15T13:19:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/adn.monetizemail.com\/?p=300480"},"modified":"2024-10-15T13:43:58","modified_gmt":"2024-10-15T13:43:58","slug":"nimitz-passes-final-evaluation-problem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/adn.monetizemail.com\/?p=300480","title":{"rendered":"Nimitz Passes Final Evaluation Problem"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><\/div>\n<p>PACIFIC OCEAN \u2013 The aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) took one more step toward returning to a deployment-ready state, completing its first post planned incremental availability exercise while underway in the Pacific Ocean Sept. 27.<\/p>\n<p>The culmination of the training evolution was a Final Evaluation Problem (FEP), a command assessment tailored to the unique training portfolio and requirements of Nimitz, as well as the ship\u2019s upcoming deployment. Passing the FEP moves Nimitz into the pre-deployment phase, beginning the ship\u2019s preparation for the Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX), and eventual deployment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve overcome the first major hurdle of Nimitz\u2019s pre-deployment training and evaluation process,\u201d said Capt. Douglas Graber, Nimitz commanding officer. \u201cIt was difficult evolution, but the long hours of training and preparation we put in really paid off.
