October Cycling Critical Mass in Torun<\/strong><\/h5>\n

In October 26, 2024, the Rowerowy Toru\u0144 Association is organizing the Cycling Critical Mass under the slogan “Cyclists – be visible!” We invite you to participate in this event.<\/p>\n

The Masa route will be approximately 16 kilometres long.\u00a0We will start at the New Town Square at 5:00 p.m.\u00a0Participants will ride along S\u0142owackiego, Fa\u0142ata, Sobieskiego and Paj\u0105kowskiego streets.<\/p>\n

The main slogan of the October Mass is a reminder of the obligation to properly light a bicycle after dark. Proper lighting of the vehicle increases our visibility on the road and shows that we are conscious users of traffic. In autumn and winter, it gets dark earlier, so it is even more important to remember to have lights on the front and back of the bicycle.<\/p>\n

DroneTech for the ninth time in Toru\u0144<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The largest scientific and business event dedicated to unmanned and autonomous systems will be held in Toru\u0144 for the ninth time. DroneTech World Meeting is scheduled for October 24-26, 2024.<\/p>\n

The event will provide participants with a huge dose of knowledge, inspiration and opportunities to build relationships with drone creators and users over the course of three days. The meeting will bring together investors, entrepreneurs, scientists and enthusiasts of everything related to the latest unmanned technology. DroneTech World Meeting was co-financed by the Municipality of Toru\u0144. The partner is the Business Support Centre in Toru\u0144.<\/p>\n

Participation in the event is free of charge\u00a0.<\/p>\n

In Toru\u0144, not only global drone manufacturers and distributors will meet, but also entrepreneurs from many sectors in which unmanned flight technologies are used. A B2B cooperation exchange is planned as part of the event. This is a Matchmaking event, a quick and easy way to meet potential partners for cooperation. These pre-arranged meetings via a special platform allow you to prepare a meeting plan with representatives of companies and institutions from several countries. This is a unique opportunity to establish international business contacts. The hybrid form of the event allows for convenient participation by all those interested in the latest drone technologies.<\/p>\n

On October 25, 2024,\u00a0stationary meetings\u00a0will be held at the Park Trade Fair Center in Toru\u0144, ul. Szosa Bydgoska 3, and on October 28 and 29 \u2013\u00a0online meetings\u00a0(after the exhibition).<\/p>\n

Toru\u0144 at half price this weekend<\/strong><\/h5>\n

This weekend, prices in Toru\u0144 will drop by half – the “Toru\u0144 at half price” discount campaign is planned for October 25-27, 2024.<\/p>\n

For three days we can count on discounts at 200 points, including restaurants, caf\u00e9s, shops, cultural institutions and service points.<\/p>\n

The autumn edition of “Toru\u0144 for half the price” will be one of the record-breaking in terms of the number of companies and institutions that will take part in it. The places that will take part in the campaign will be marked with special posters, so that tourists and residents of Toru\u0144 have no doubts about which premises and institutions the discount applies to. The ambassador of this edition of the campaign is the Toru\u0144 Olympian, European boxing vice-champion – Aneta Rygielska. The sportswoman encourages people to take advantage of the promotion and visit Toru\u0144 via her social media. Posters informing about the campaign are already on advertising pillars throughout the city. They include, among other things, a QR code. The code, when scanned with a mobile phone, takes the user to a website with offers from Toru\u0144 companies.<\/p>\n

The lists of participants in the campaign with the offer have been published, among others, on the campaign website\u00a0www.torunzapolceny.pl<\/a>\u00a0in the “offer” tab and on Facebook and Instagram. There are also competitions, during which you can win, among other things, free invitations to restaurants, vouchers to service points, but also invitations to take advantage of the opportunity to test drive a car from one of Toru\u0144’s car dealers during the weekend. The campaign is also widely promoted outside our city limits through the RMF FM group radio stations. The event is aimed not only at Toru\u0144 residents, but also at visitors. It is no coincidence that it takes place twice a year – in spring before the start of the tourist season and in autumn – at its end. The discounts are to tempt residents of other cities to spend a few days with us.<\/p>\n

At the Tourist Information Centre in Toru\u0144 on ul. Szeroka, a special information point will be open throughout the weekend, where Toru\u0144 residents and tourists will be able to check where discounts are available as part of the “Toru\u0144 at half price” campaign. Companies and institutions participating in the event will reduce prices by half on at least three of their basic products or services. Traditionally, Toru\u0144 restaurateurs and numerous service points have joined the campaign. Toru\u0144’s cultural institutions have an equally rich offer. There will be an opportunity to participate in many different events, such as concerts of the Toru\u0144 Symphony Orchestra, events at CKK Jordanki and Toru\u0144 museums. It is also worth visiting, among others, the District Museum or the Mill of Knowledge. The organizers of the campaign are the Municipality of Toru\u0144 and the GoSport Association!<\/p>\n

Ceramics Museum awarded in the Competition for the Museum Event of the Year of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship 2023<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Among the winners was also the Ceramics Museum, which received the first prize in the category \u201cEducational projects not related to temporary exhibitions\u201d for the project \u201cCentre for old pottery techniques \u2013 new, attractive and friendly ceramic education\u201d.<\/p>\n

We are very pleased that the competition jury appreciated our many years of efforts to create an innovative place associated with experiencing ceramics. The Centre for Old Pottery Techniques, located at ul. Kutuzowa 14, was established as part of the cross-border project “Centers of old crafts on the Via Fabrilis trail”. This is a unique place that combines the function of a museum and a ceramic workshop, because the building houses a miniature production line, thanks to which visitors can learn the secrets of the process of creating Boles\u0142awiec ceramics, as well as take part in various ceramic workshops. There is also an exhibition space presenting the contemporary achievements of local ceramic plants, a children’s room and multimedia. The Centre for Old Pottery Techniques is also a place for intergenerational meetings and training of future ceramicists. In the courtyard of the building, an authentic, fully accessible to visitors, 19th century ceramic kiln and a replica of the Great Pot from the 18th century were placed, making the facility unique in the region. It is also an important point on the map of the Lower Silesian Route of Technical Monuments.<\/p>\n

In the category that was the winning one for the Boles\u0142awiec museum, an additional award was also given to the Rac\u0142awice Panorama \u2013 a branch of the National Museum in Wroc\u0142aw for the \u201cArt in a flash\u201d project and educational activities at the Rac\u0142awice Panorama Museum. In this year’s edition of the Competition for the Museum Event of the Year of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship 2023, awards were also given in other categories, such as \u201cHistorical exhibitions\u201d, \u201cArt exhibitions\u201d and \u201cResearch projects\u201d.<\/p>\n

We would like to express our gratitude to our partners in the project \u201cCenters of Old Crafts on the Via Fabrilis Trail\u201d, the Municipality of K\u0142odzko, the Municipality of Jaromer and the City of Boles\u0142awiec, without whom the creation of the CDTG would not have been possible. We would like to thank the Chapter and the Organizers of the Competition for the opportunity to present the effect of our work and appreciate it in a way that exceeded our wildest expectations. We are very happy with our success, especially since we found ourselves in the distinguished group of winners of the Competition, who for years have been shaping the image of not only Lower Silesian museums. In this year’s edition, in addition to the Boles\u0142awiec museum, the following were awarded: the Ethnographic Museum – Branch of the MNWr in Wroc\u0142aw, the Museum of Architecture in Wroc\u0142aw, the Regional Museum in Luba\u0144, the Museum of Contemporary Art – Branch of the MNWr in Wroc\u0142aw, the Museum of the K\u0142odzko Region, the Wroc\u0142aw Contemporary Museum, the Copper Museum in Legnica, the Wroc\u0142aw City Museum, the Karkonoskie Museum in Jelenia G\u00f3ra, the Rac\u0142awice Panorama – Branch of the MNWr in Wroc\u0142aw, the Museum of Papermaking in Duszniki-Zdr\u00f3j and the National Museum in Wroc\u0142aw.<\/p>\n

Terribly cool puzzles, scary secrets and a scary atmosphere await you! We invite whole families, and spooky costumes are welcome.<\/p>\n
