Additionally, the department has identified and redirected $98 million to further support health care benefits for Veterans.<\/p>\n<p>VA has also <a href=\"https:\/\/news.va.gov\/138341\/va-implements-flag-display-policy-facilities\/\">revised its flag policy<\/a>, now exclusively flying the American flag and the POW\/MIA flag at its facilities. \u201cFor all of us who served in uniform, that American flag\u2026it\u2019s what unites us,\u201d Collins said.<\/p>\n<p>Efforts to combat waste, fraud, and abuse are also underway. The department has assigned employees to scrutinize contracts, ensuring funds are spent efficiently. As a result, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SecVetAffairs\/status\/1888950609358749765\">$178,000 previously allocated for Politico newsletters<\/a> has been redirected to Veterans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c30 days in, Donald Trump hasn\u2019t let up. Guess what?
