ANSBACH, Germany \u2014 Service members and civilians stationed at USAG Ansbach now have a hassle-free option for selling and buying privately owned vehicles.<\/p>\n

Beginning April 15, 2025, the garrison will officially open a vehicle resale lot \u2014 known as the Vehicle Lemon Lot \u2014 at Urlas Kaserne directly across from the AAFES Gas Station.<\/p>\n

The Lemon Lot is designed to simplify the process of buying and selling used vehicles within the military community. It also supports smoother in- and out-processing by providing a centralized location for vehicles listed for sale, while helping reduce the number of abandoned vehicles.<\/p>\n

Use of the Lemon Lot is free of charge, but pre-registration is required. To register, call CIV 0611-143-587-2165, DSN 587-2165.<\/p>\n

Participants are also required to complete an online form at https:\/\/forms.osi.apps.mil\/r\/AcVYYNK1NB<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Eligible users include all USAG Ansbach-affiliated active-duty military personnel, DOD civilians, NAF employees and NATO ID holders, with priority given to those assigned to the USAG Ansbach footprint.<\/p>\n

Lemon Lot Rules:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Owners must ensure vehicles are registered and insured for the duration of the permit.<\/li>\n
  2. A valid FMWR-issued permit must be clearly displayed on the vehicle dashboard.<\/li>\n
  3. Permits are free and must be renewed every 30 days.<\/li>\n
  4. Only private vehicle sales are allowed\u2014commercial operations are prohibited.<\/li>\n
  5. The Lemon Lot is not to be used for long-term vehicle storage.<\/li>\n
  6. Vehicles without a valid permit will be towed at the owner\u2019s expense. Vehicles must have at least 60 days remaining on registration and insurance.<\/li>\n
  7. Use of the Lemon Lot is a privilege. Violations can lead to permit termination, vehicle removal, and chain of command notification.<\/li>\n
  8. Only the permitted vehicle may occupy the assigned space. Unauthorized vehicles will be removed.<\/li>\n
  9. FMWR is not responsible for loss or damage to vehicles in the lot.<\/li>\n
  10. Sellers must notify FMWR Ansbach Outdoor Recreation (ODR) when the vehicle is sold and the space becomes available.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
