ANSBACH, Germany \u2013 U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach is improving the vehicle inspection and registration process for community members by relocating the Privately Owned Vehicle (POV) Inspection Facility<\/a> from Barton Barracks to Katterbach Kaserne.<\/p>\n

The intent behind the move is to bring all three key vehicle in-processing steps \u2014 Vehicle Pickup, Inspection, and Registration \u2014 closer together, streamlining the experience for Soldiers, civilians and families.<\/p>\n

Currently, U.S. military personnel in Ansbach complete vehicle in-processing in three steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Pick up your vehicle at the Vehicle Processing Center (VPC)<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Get your vehicle inspected at the POV Inspection Facility<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Register your vehicle at the Vehicle Registration Office (VRO)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    To make this process more convenient, USAG Ansbach is relocating the inspection site within walking distance of the registration office and eventually plans to co-locate the VPC as well.<\/p>\n

    The move improves customer service by bringing vehicle-related services to one convenient area on Katterbach Kaserne.<\/p>\n
