One winning practice, <a href=\"https:\/\/marketplace.va.gov\/innovations\/virtual-waiting-room\">Virtual Waiting Room<\/a>, addresses a lack of formalized real-time check-out processes for Veterans using VA Video Connect for telehealth appointments.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/news.va.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2023\/11\/Lady-with-slide_r1.jpg\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Finalist presenting to panel<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Other practices support preventing Veteran suicide, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/marketplace.va.gov\/innovations\/reaching-all-veterans-at-every-encounter\">RAVEE: Reaching all Veterans at Every Encounter<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/marketplace.va.gov\/innovations\/suicide-risk-screen-follow-up-monitor\">Suicide Risk Screen Follow Up Monitor<\/a>, while <a href=\"https:\/\/marketplace.va.gov\/innovations\/therapeutic-carbohydrate-restricted-tcr-aspire\">Therapeutic Carbohydrate Reduction (TCR) Aspire<\/a> supports Veterans with diabetes through whole health coaching.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pitch of the Day<\/h2>\n<p>During the competition, attendees also voted for the Pitch of the Day, a people\u2019s choice award that recognizes one of the finalist practices. This year\u2019s Pitch of the Day was the <a href=\"https:\/\/marketplace.va.gov\/innovations\/pap-hub-and-spoke-program\">Pap Hub and Spoke Program<\/a> from Minneapolis VA, which aims to optimize cervical cancer screening participation and follow-up after an abnormal result.<\/p>\n<p>Sharks will select a representative from their facility to join the innovators of the winning practices as part of their team.
