SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii (September 26, 2024) – Tropic Lightning Soldiers from 25th Infantry Division (ID) will conduct military operations on the island of Maui as part of the large-scale training exercise, Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center (JPMRC) rotation 25-01 from October 7-16, 2024.

25th Infantry Division’s Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB) will establish refueling points in the vicinity of the Puʻunene Hawaii National Guard Readiness Center (HIARNG-RC) and Kahului Airport (OGG). These operations provide fuel support for the movement of 25th Infantry Division’s Soldier’s via helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft inner island transit.

In conjunction with 25th CAB operations, the United States Air Force Air Expeditionary Wing will also have their C-17 aircraft on Kahului Airport supporting the JPMRC training exercise.

On Maui, minimal military ground convoy traffic (2-5 Army vehicles) is expected between Puʻunene HIARNG-RC and surrounding areas. A high volume of 25th CAB Rotary Wing aircraft will transit from Oahu, refuel mid-way on Maui, and proceed to the Pōhakuloa Training Area (PTA) on the Island of Hawaii. These flights will occur primarily during the evening and in the nighttime hours in addition to increased United States Air Force C-17 traffic to and from Maui Airport 1-17 October 2024.
