USAG BAVARIA – HOHENFELS, Germany – A crowd of community members lined General Patton Drive to cheer a parade of military and civilian vehicles decked in lights and personnel decked in holiday apparel Dec. 5, 2024, at Hohenfels, Germany.
The community was taking part in the annual Holiday in Lights celebration, which included a parade of lights, a tree lighting at Rocket Park, warm beverages from on-post organizations, and craft projects like card- and ornament-making stations inside the Community Activity Center.
Brig. Gen. Steven P. Carpenter, commander of 7th Army Training Command; Col. Stephen C. Flanagan, U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria commander; Angela Lane, deputy garrison manager – Hohenfels; Christian Graf, mayor of Markt Hohenfels; and Santa and Mrs. Claus helped light the tree.
Following the tree-lighting ceremony, Families went indoors, and children told Santa and Mrs. Claus what they wanted for the holidays.
