JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas (AFNS) —
The Air Force selected 519 active-duty officers for promotion to lieutenant colonel and major during recent CY23A central selection boards.
In total, the Air Force selected 173 majors for promotion to lieutenant colonel (Medical and Dental Corps) and 346 captains for promotion to major (Medical and Dental Corps).
Lieutenant Colonel (M0523A) selection statistics:
- Medical Corps: 143 selected out of 167 considered
- Dental Corps: 30 selected out of 40 considered
Major (M0423A) selection statistics:
- Medical Corps: 303 selected out of 356 considered
- Dental Corps: 43 selected out of 51 considered
